How to install PKG games on jailbroken consoles (PS4 / PS5 / PS3)
These steps apply to PKG / FPKG games on jailbroken PlayStation consoles. First make sure your console is jailbroken and running the correct firmware.
Step by Step
Confirm your jailbreak
Run the exploit/jailbreak that matches your console firmware. Without a jailbreak, retail consoles cannot install PKG files.
Format a USB drive
Format the USB drive to exFAT if the game is larger than 4 GB (most are), or FAT32 for smaller files. On Windows: right-click the drive → Format → choose the file system → Start.
Copy the PKG file
After downloading the game from its page here, extract it if needed, then copy the .pkg file to the USB drive. Avoid placing it inside long-named folders.
Install via a package installer
Plug the USB into the console, open a package installer (e.g. Package Installer, or DPI / Debug Settings on PS4), select the .pkg file and start the install. You can also install over the network (Remote PKG) if your console supports it.
Install update / HotFix
If the game page shows a HotFix or Updates & Patch button, install those packages the same way after the base game.
Fixing common install errors
• "Cannot install" error: usually wrong USB format — use exFAT.
• Install stuck at a percentage: the file may be corrupted — re-download or try the Torrent link if available.
• Game won't launch after install: install the required HotFix or update from the game page.
